1.
The story of Christmas from long,
long ago,
Was sung by
the angels to shepherds
of old.
That music
from heaven brought hope
from despair,
And cradled
that Baby in God's tender
care.
Chorus:
Oh, hear that great
chorus of God's gift of love;
Join in the
singing with the angels
above.
For that
music from heaven keeps
filling the air,
And cradles
His children in God's
tender care.
2.
The story of Christmas is so dear
to me,
I can't
keep from singing of God's
love so free.
I join with
the wise men and shepherd
of old,
To worship
the Savior who came long
ago.
3.
The story of Christmas will never
grow old,
For God
gives His blessing wherever
it's told.
And the
Babe in the manger now reigns
from above,
And cradles
God's children in His
tender love.
