Just before sundown that sad afternoon,
They placed
our dear Savior in His
borrowed tomb;
Afraid that
the people would steal
Him away,

soldiers stood guard as they
sealed up His grave.

Early on Sunday with hearts filled
with gloom,
in love for
their Savior, they came
to the tomb;
But wonder
of wonders, just like
He foretold,
Long before
sunrise, the Savior
arose.
