can hear the sound of freedom coming
from a distant scene,
By faith I
see the battle raging
on a hill called Calvary;
There the
Son of God is lifted high
upon that rugged tree,
Bound by
love, He cries, "It's finished."
Paid the debt to set us free.
Oh, can't
you see the Savior dying
on the cross of Calvary?
Can't you
hear the Father sighing?
What a price to set us free.
And can't
you hear the sound of
freedom? Clothed in pain and agony,
Hear the
Savior cry, "It's finished."
It's the cry of victory.
